TRES PTA will be holding their annual Variety Show on <date, time, and location to be scheduled>. Permission slips will be in Thursday Folders or can be downloaded here -- coming soon. A permission slip is required for each person participating in the show. Please fill out and return to school by <date to be determined>.

 

Each student must audition/preview their act. Auditions/Previews will be held at TRES <date and time to be scheduled>. Sign up online for a time slot for your preview <signup to be determined>, or for sign up help, please email Elaina Johnson by visiting the PTA Officers and Board page.

 

When signing up, please include the following info in the comment section: names of students in act, parent email address(es), phone #s, and a description of the act and music selection if appropriate. If your child cannot attend on the audition date, to make other arrangements please email Elaina Johnson by visiting the PTA Officers and Board page. You will receive a confirmation email for your audition/preview. If you do not receive one, please email Elaina Johnson by visiting the PTA Officers and Board page.

 

Important Info for Auditions/Preview:

 

• Music selection is on a first come basis, so plan on signing up as soon as possible. Please be prepared to have an alternate music selected in case someone else has already chosen your first selection. We do this to provide variety to everyone.
• Parents must accompany the student. If your student is attending an after school activity, you must pick them up from the activity and bring them to the audition. If your student is in a group act, it is ok for one parent to represent the group.
• Bring a copy of your music on a CD. Please test your music first to make sure it will work on a CD player. Plan on leaving a copy of the music with the committee.
• Acts will be limited to 2 1/2 minutes. Please make sure your music is cut accordingly.
• Music guidelines: Please pay attention to the lyrics and meaning of the song. No curse words or inappropriate themes will be allowed. The Variety Show Committee and PTA reserve the right to veto any song selections.
• The purpose of the Preview/Audition is to find out more about your act (music selection, props used, etc.) We do not expect you to have your final performance together, but please be prepared to give as much detail as possible.
